Venus Africa Foundation, an organization not for gain,was initiated by Venus Africa Security management and staff in an effort to give back to the community and those less fortunate, thus the birth of VENUS AFRICA FOUNDATION. The initial directors on the board were
Erika Le Roux and Refiloe Buthelezi. Refiloe has since
resigned and the Foundation is now headed by Erika Le
Roux and Dudu Mfaba.
We have sensitized ourselves to the needs of pensioners
and decided to focus on their wishes initially. The
force behind this decision was the fact that pensioners’
monthly income increased by a significant percentage and
that food prices rose radically. We have specifically
targeted two old age homes in the Tshwane Region namely
Metheo Ya Setshaba in Attridgeville and Mamelodi Society
for care of the aged.
In order to raise funds for our initiatives Venus Africa
Foundation hosted a charity Golf Day on the 16th of
September 2008 at the Zwartkopz Country Club.
We have since our initiation been involved in a number
of other projects namely sponsorship of soccer teams,
uniform donation to less privileged persons, sponsorship
of tuition fees for two students at Medunsa University
to mention but a few.
